Our specialty Slotted setscrews.
We provide special order Micro Slotted Set screws. Diameter of Slotted set screws which can be manufactured is from M0.8 to M3, but we are good at manufacturing of the Slotted setscrews which is less than or equal to M2. In screw pitch, we are good at manufacturing also the fine screw thread.
The Range which can be manufactured in Slotted set screw length is from 0.8mm to 10mm, but those are equal case to a diameter, or those are shorter case than a diameter, we are good at manufacturing.
Manufacturable materials are steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminum, phosphor bronze, but we are good at manufacturing of Slotted setscrews which are nonferrous metals or free-cutting steel. Various plating and heat treatment are possible.
In driven recess for the screws, we can manufacture the minus slot only. We can not manufacture the custom-ordered cross recess, the custom-ordered square socket and the custom-ordered hexagon socket.
Our weak setscrews.
In the length, we are not good at manufacturing of setscrew length of more than about 3 times of the diameter. In nominal diameter, we are not good at manufacturing of the M4 or more setscrews. In materials, we are not good at manufacturing of the stainless steel setscrews or the tool steel setscrews.
Other characteristics
Nominal diameters of standard setscrews are M1, M1.2, M1.4, M1.6, M1.7, M2, M2.3, and M2.5. But, we can also manufacture the nominal diameters not listed above. However, there is a limit of manufacture by the materials and the screw pitches.
These have limits, because the rigidity of our microcomputer control cam-type automatic lathes is low.
For example, the coarse screw thread is below.
If the material is brass, we can manufacture nominal diameter M4 or less, and pitch is 0.7 or less.
If the material is free-cutting steel, we can manufacture nominal diameter M3.5 or less, and pitch is 0.6 or less.
If the material is stainless steel (equivalent to SUS303), we can manufacture nominal diameter M3 or less, and pitch is 0.5 or less.
For example, the fine screw thread is below.
If the material is brass, we can manufacture nominal diameter M5.5 or less, and pitch is 0.5 or less.
If the material is free-cutting steel, we can manufacture nominal diameter M4 or less, and pitch is 0.5 or less.
If the material is stainless steel (equivalent to SUS303), we can manufacture nominal diameter M3.5 or less, and pitch is 0.35 or less.
